Overview
I designed and produced a workshop at the IDEO CoLab in an effort to bring together artists, engineers, and designers interested in prototyping new instruments and performance devices.
Participants from MIT, Berklee College of Music, and Tufts University were given Lego Mindstorms to construct new interfaces for musical expression using sensors and sound design software.
The LEGO kits provided a large solution diversity, acting as a springboard to inspire discussions around the possibilities of network enabled musical performances and new ways to sync music with one’s everyday life.
